About me
I was born in Baku , Azerbaijan (formerly one of Soviet Republics), and began learning guitar at the age of 12. I studied under notable teacher Vladimir Pegov at Music School no.21 which currently bears name of renown cellist and conductor Mstislav Rostropovich.
My family moved to Israel in 1995 where I continued my studies privately and at Tel Aviv Music Academy with Mr. Yoram Zerbib and Mr.Yehuda Shrayer.
My first teaching experience goes back to being a senior student of Mr. Pegov as his substitute on occasions when my teacher was ill or on tour. Later I had my own private students in both Baku and Israel and I also taught at various community centers.
After my move to USA in 2003 I settled in Irvine and began teaching privately as well as at number of private music schools. I also started to ‘play gigs’ -perform at weddings and various events-something that was new to me.
My interests include art and various cultural events, travel and meeting new people. I like to attend concerts in my spare time, not necessary guitar recitals, I love classical music, opera, jazz and world music.
